Adam Heinz was born March 20, 1935, to Paul and Anna Mary (Roth) Heinz at Mina, S.D. He attended grade school at Cortland Township. At 21, he moved to Aberdeen and worked for North Western Public Service. On September 10, 1958, he married Betty Burgard. In November of 1958, they moved to the family farm at Mina and purchased it in 1976. He farmed there until 1996 when he sold it and moved to Aberdeen due to health problems.
He was a custodian for the Capital Theatre for 3 years. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Holy Cross Church of Ipswich and later joined Sacred Heart Parish. He collected toy farm equipment and loved to do woodwork. His most cherished wood project was a replica of their farm. He was always ready for a laugh and loved spending time with his family. We are all thankful for the love and care our Mom gave to Dad during his long struggle with his health. He will be missed by all of us.
