Roger was born July 30, 1943 to Valentine and Anna (Gerber) Daschle in Aberdeen, SD, and he continued to make Aberdeen his home town for his entire life.

On October 21, 1972, Roger married the love of his life, Marilyn Feltman, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen. To this union was born their son, Ryan Lee Daschle. He was a loving, devoted husband and father and a much-loved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle.

Over the years, Roger worked for the Aberdeen American News, Aberdeen National Bank, Sears, Johnson Motors, and Aberdeen TV and Appliance. He retired from Karl's Audio and Appliance in July 2008.

Roger had many interests and hobbies including hunting and fishing with his son Ryan, and home remodeling. He was a real "Mr. Fix-it" when it came to almost anything. He spent many of his days working on his home in Aberdeen. Roger so enjoyed working and spending time in Chamberlain at Marilyn's family farm taking in the beautiful scenery of the hills and the Missouri River. He also enjoyed working on cars. His real pride and joy was his 1967 Mustang Convertible, which he fully restored. He enjoyed going to the Black Hills and vacationing with hi family, including his brother and sisters and their families. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.

Grateful for having shared Roger's life are his wife, Marilyn; his son Ryan of Sioux Falls; his brother Valentine "Jim" (Linda) Daschle of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; his two sisters: Kathy (Randy) Tieszen of Madison, Alabama, and Mary (Dale) Bendewald of Aberdeen; his brother-in-law Douglas (Kathy) Feltman of Chamberlain, SD; his sister-in-law Peggy (Greg) Scott of Aberdeen; several cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, and brother-in-law Jim Feltman.
