Ronald Ray Arnold

Ronald Ray Arnold, 68, of Aberdeen passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 at his home. Ron's wishes were to be cremated and requested no services. Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Ray Arnold was born February 1, 1943 to Jacob and Dorothy (Martz) Arnold at Mobridge, SD. He was raised in McLaughlin and attended McLaughlin Schools. He entered the US Army in 1960. He received his honorable discharge in 1964 and return to McLaughlin where he farmed for several years.

Ron married Sandra Crabbe October 31, 1964 at Mobridge. They moved to Aberdeen in 1989 and Ron was forced to retire two years later due to ill health.

Ron was an avid fisherman. He was very inventive and creative. He could fix just about anything. His favorite past time was riding around on his three wheeled cycle with his youngest son, Timothy.

Surviving Ron are his wife Sandi of Aberdeen, one daughter, Ranae (David) Schnaidt of Sheyenne, ND, two sons, Jeffrey Arnold and Timothy Arnold both of Aberdeen, two brothers, Jerald Arnold of Aberdeen and Marvin Arnold of Lemmon, SD, one half sister, Connie Aman of Arizona, two grandchildren, Stephanie Schnaidt of Fargo, ND and Emily Schnaidt of SDheyenne, ND and one great granddaughter, Raeleigh Ann of Fargo.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
