Helen A. Arneson

Memorial service for Helen A. Arneson, 73, of Aberdeen will be 2:00pm Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen. Fr. Shane Stevens of Sacred Heart Church will be officiating. Helen's wishes were to be cremated and burial of her cremated remains will be at a later date. Helen passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.

Helen A. Dionne was born March 29, 1938 at Belcourt, ND where she was raised and received her education. She later moved to Mohall, ND.

Helen married Robert L. Arneson in 1954 at Mohall. They lived in various places throughout the upper Midwest due to Bob?s employment. In 1968, they moved to Aberdeen and have resided here since that time. Helen was first a mother and homemaker, and later was a caregiver, working at various businesses in Aberdeen.

Helen enjoyed reading and cooking. She was also a Volunteer Foster Grandparent for many years.

Surviving Helen are, her loving husband, Bob of Aberdeen, nine children, Wayne (Roxanne) Arneson of Aberdeen, David (Sherry) Arneson of Aberdeen, Barbara (Leonard) Likness of Langford, SD, Roger Arneson of Aberdeen, Larry Arneson of Aberdeen, Jerry (Michele) Arneson of Aberdeen, Mary (Erv) Malsam of Aberdeen, Judy (Miguel) Shaw of Aberdeen and Sherry (Greg) Siva of Pala, CA, two sisters, Blanche Armson of Madison, WI and Lillian (Budd) Erickson of Carpio, ND, one brother, Gerald (Susan) Dionne of Everett, WA, nineteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, eleven brothers and one grandchild.
