Rosemary Kraft, 65, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen.  Fr. Mark Axtmann will be officiating.

Rosemary’s wishes were to be cremated and burial of her cremated remains will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Aberdeen, at a later date.

A liturgical wake service and rosary will be 7:00 pm, Monday, January 8, 2018, at the mortuary.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm, Monday, and one hour prior to the service, Tuesday, all at the mortuary.

Rosemary Kraft was born November 23, 1952 to Dan and Irene (Gutenberg) Kraft in Aberdeen, SD.  This is where she was raised, attended school and graduated from Roncalli High School in 1971.  She attended Northern State College and also South Dakota State University at Brookings.  After college she returned to Aberdeen and started working for 3M Company where she was employed for over thirty years.  

Rosemary enjoyed going to movies, concerts and especially enjoyed horseback riding.  She was truly an animal lover and an animal caregiver.  

Surviving Rosemary is her mother, Irene Kraft of Aberdeen; one sister, Maggie (Craig) McMullen of Colorado Springs, CO; three brothers: Mike (Susan) Kraft of Aberdeen, Tom Kraft of Phoenix, AZ and Steve Kraft of Aberdeen; one nephew, Jake Kraft; two nieces, Hannah Kraft and Mariah Kennedy; and her pets: two dogs, two cats, and a horse.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her father.

Memorials are preferred to the Aberdeen Area Humane Society.
