I was so sorry to read of Ray's passing in the Aberdeen paper , Ray and Vi were some of the best neighbors a "kid" could ask for growing up in a neighborhood. They spent may hours fishing at the river with my parents, memories that lasted a life time! Many hours sitting outside at the picnic table telling fishing stories and hours of card games a each others homes! Ray was the best of the best when it came to being a neighbor. When it was just my dad at home after my mom passed away, he would check in on my dad from time to time to make sure he was ok and always leaving the Aberdeen paper for my dad in the special mail box that they built on the fence between the yards. I don't think I ever got to tell him how much that meant to me ! Makes me happy that my parents have their fishing buddies to fish with once again !
Sorry I was not able to be at the services today, but please know you are in my thoughts !
Hold the memories of your dad close to your heart and he will be with you always !

We met Ray through my father, Leonard Feickert. Their friendship started in a foxhole in the Phillipines during WWII and continued through their journey in Nano Nagel and Mother Joseph Manor. We spent many hours with Ray and my dad playing bingo and having happy hour. At the end they completed their journey together! How fitting that was! Ray was a very nice man and we will greatly miss him. Your family is in our prayers!
