     Michael Allan Cliff, 59, of Aberdeen, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, at Avera St Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen, SD.  His wishes were to be cremated.

     Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2016, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Pastor Terry Kenny officiating.

     Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Aberdeen.

     Visitation will be 5:30-6:30 p.m., Friday, at the mortuary. Friends may sign Mike’s online guestbook and also view his service via the live stream service link at www.schriversmemorial.com.

     Casual dress is requested for Mike’s service.

     Mike was born May 8, 1957, to George and Marjorie (Pratt) Cliff in Aberdeen, SD.  He graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1975.  Mike furthered his education at Watertown Vo-Tech and then worked several jobs before becoming employed at Dependable Sanitation from 1985 until 2001. He most recently worked for the US Postal Service for 14 years, retiring in March of 2016.

     Mike loved cooking, traveling, and most of all, reading. He was like a walking encyclopedia with knowledge in many areas.  Mike was a generous, caring, and unselfish man who loved his family and always put them first. He always gave gifts, homemade candy, and treats to family, friends, and neighbors.

     Mike is survived by two brothers, Jim Cliff of Denver, CO and Ron Cliff of Sioux Falls, SD; one nephew, Alec Cliff of Colorado, Springs, CO; one aunt, Virginia Abeln of Groton, SD; and several cousins.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Jasmine Cliff, of Sedalia, CO.
