Lorraine (Wilson) Boyle Montgomery, 98, of Aberdeen, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017, at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen.

Her memorial service will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Pastor John Hisel officiating.

A time of fellowship with refreshments will immediately follow the service at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.

Lorraine’s wishes were to be cremated with private family burial taking place at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Lorraine Wilson was born on January 30, 1919, in Loyalton, SD, to Horace and Matilda (Larson) Wilson.  She and her family lived in Mina, Wetonka and Aberdeen before settling at Mina Lake.  Following graduation from Mina High School, Lorraine furthered her education at Northern Normal and Industrial School in Aberdeen and received her Teaching Certificate.   She taught rural school in Brown, Edmunds and McPherson counties for 13 years before beginning employment at St. Luke’s Hospital, where she remained for 19 years before retiring.  During her retirement years, Lorraine spent many hours doing volunteer work in her community.

Lorraine married Everett Boyle on November 12, 1941.  Their union was blessed with one daughter and two sons.

Lorraine was united in marriage to Harold Montgomery on February 16, 1968, in Aberdeen.  The couple made their home at Mina Lake and shared 26 years of marriage before Harold passed away on June 2, 1994.  Lorraine was residing in Aberdeen at the time of her death.

In her spare time, Lorraine enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

Surviving Lorraine are her children:  Connie (Jack) Waltman, Terry (Nancy) Boyle and Kim (Diane) Boyle; eight grandchildren: Jeff (Michele) Waltman, Mike (Diane) Waltman, Jolene Waltman, Lori Baldwin, Paula Boyle, Tara (Collin) Boechler, Jaymar (Jenna) Adams, and Ericka Adams; fifteen great-grandchildren: Meghan (Tom) Schnabel, Jessica (Rich Reis) Waltman, Josh Waltman, Max Waltman, Mason Waltman, Matthew (Sondra) Waltman, Mitchell (Kacy Marnette) Waltman, Tyler Hoffman, Morgan Hoffman, Damond (Lynelle) Baldwin, Brandon (Britni) Baldwin, Brittany Baldwin, and Christian, Avery, and Aiden Boechler; fourteen great great-grandchildren: Peyton, Mallory, Danyelle and Korbyn Schnabel, Jase Reis, Mikayla Waltman, Jayden Baldwin, Brooklyn, Riley, and Everett Baldwin, and Ameirah, Jace, Eric, and Leam Baldwin; two special nieces, Karen (Al) McNeil and Sandra (Jim) Rood; step-children, Joe Montgomery and Sandy Mitchell; and step-grandchildren, Brad Montgomery and Kristi, Kari, Kim, and Jennifer Mitchell.

Lorraine is preceded in death by both of her husbands, her parents, two sisters and one brother.

Memorials are preferred to Bethesda Towne Square or the Aberdeen Area Senior Center.
