Jeanette C. (Conley) Johnson

Jeanette C. Johnson, 84, of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab.

Jeanette’s wishes were to be cremated with no formal services being held.

Private family interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Aberdeen.

Jeanette was born April 7, 1933, on a farm near Claremont, SD, to Coyd and Hilda (Iljana) Conley.  She grew up and attended school in Frederick, SD.  In the early 1960s, Jeanette and her family moved to Aberdeen, where she raised six children.  In 1969, she began what would become a 40-plus year career at ManorCare Health Services in Aberdeen.  Jeanette continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.

Jeanette is survived by her children:  Connie (Jerry) Ryan, Diana Holloman, Sharon (Dan) Spencer, Donald Johnson and David Johnson; eight grandchildren:  Renee Ryan, Rick (Gina) Ryan, Nicole (Chad) Sims, Nancy Weifenbach, Shawn Garrity, Stephen Johnson, Sean Martin and Shannon Perez; 10 great-grandchildren:  Taryn Ryan, Rachel Ryan, Summer Ryan, Austin Ryan, Emersyn Sims, Beckett Sims, Skyler Sims, Kenley Sims, Evelyn Simpson and Andrew Garrity-Drugan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jeanette is preceded in death by one son, William Johnson; one granddaughter, Kelly Ryan; one great-grandson, Easton Sims; her parents, Coyd and Hilda Conley; one brother, Fenton Conley; three sisters:  Gladys English, Patricia Mehlhaff and Marjorie Marvel; one son-in-law, Joe Holloman; one daughter-in-law, Vicki Johnson; three brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
