Jacob, another year has passed without you. I miss you, your smile, your hugs, your quick wit and sense of humor. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you fondly. I love you and miss you terribly, until we meet again remember that I love you.

Jake,
To one of my closest friends of the college years- I think about you often. You were the ultimate friend and partner in crime. We used to laugh together to tears. When I had no money and couldn't afford to spend a night out on the town with you and the crew, you'd just insist on buying me drinks so I Could still come with, even though you were equally broke!! Hahaha. That's just the type of guy you were. We had the same taste in movies/television and used to crush series together before crushing series was mainstream!
The last time we saw each other you came to Minneapolis for a Black Keys concert. You met my girlfriend at the time who would later become my wife. If i only I had known, I'd have hugged you tighter.
The last time I heard from you, you texted to check up on me. You told me you were pretty sick and had to have a procedure and might not make it.... We were always such sarcastic BSers to each other, I thought you were messing with me. Since I wasn't on social media at the time I totally missed out when you left this world. I didn't learn of it until months later. I will always regret not being able to say goodbye.
I'm glad our lives intersected. I will never forget the bond that we had and the person you were. I continue to look back on old pictures so I can relive those moments.

I did not know Jacob personally , I am a 1980 classmate of his mom's, Penny, although you loose track of classmates and times goes by, I still think about and remember a lot of them often. I wanted to let Penny know that her and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Penny, I remember fondly the joy in your face and pride in your voice whenever you interacted with your young sons, or talked about them when we worked together at the school district in the early 90's. Jake Wald --- Oh, the passage of time. Twenty years ago you were a boy I coached in soccer. You were a mischievous, enthusiastic lad with a sizzling gleam in your eye! How can I ever forget the long, soaring wing shot you nailed in a big game against Groton? You were so excited, and it was your second goal of the contest. Jake was a great, great friend for many years. We had such a good time during high school. I can't believe he is gone. What devastating news. My prayers and wishes go out to his family right now and everyone he was important to. I am very sorry for your loss.
