      Helen D. Daly, 89, of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen. 


      Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 409 3rd Avenue SE, Aberdeen, with and Father Mark Lichter and Helen’s nephew, Father Ken Bain, con-celebrating.


      Burial will take place at Wayside Cemetery in Frederick, SD. 


      Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.


      Visitation will be 4-5 p.m., Sunday, at the mortuary with a liturgical wake service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Visitation continues one hour prior to Mass at the church on Monday.


      Helen D. Daly was born on September 12, 1927, in Columbia, SD, to Walter and Rose (Mc Clain) Daly. This is the area where she was raised and attended school, graduating from Columbia High School with the Class of 1945.


      Following graduation, Helen began working at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she was employed for over 30 years.


      Helen was an active, life-long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She also was very involved in the Democratic Party and an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.


      Helen is survived by her many nieces and nephews.


      She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Robert, Raymond, Austin, Walter Jr., and Edward; and three sisters: Marie Bain, Lorrine Hanson, and Lucille Heinz.
